Felipe Avelar's delicious sexy House sounds have held my fascination since I had the pleasure of encountering his work alongside the world renowned Canadian producer, DJ and artist, MC Flipside! A featured DJ, remixer and producer with GHR, Felipe is famed for his vibrant funky House flavor, which is ear candy to Fetty Be!! His repertoire of House sub-genres is rich and well-reflected through his extensive back ground in the House music club scene. Felipe has deep roots with in the 90's Rave and Radio culture, claiming a #1 status in Nor Cal for his mix show. He is no stranger to the label business either, having started his own label Ammo in 04'. San Francisco and The Bay Area has always been a very colorful and receptive region to dropping cutting edge traxs. This has enabled Felipe to fully explore, indulge & refine his own sound style! In the process of doing so, Felipe has attracted interest from massive names in the industry (see his Bio!). Regardless of who Felipe has worked with or for, his sound is distinct and his mixing is FLAWless. He's a master of evoking and maintaining the emotional party incline through his trax selection. His bass is meaty and he has a natural sense for what will rock a crowd, no matter the patron chemistry. From my personal experience with Felipe's gigs, I feel that his deepest passion is quite simply found in dropping House bangers with an addictive vocal hook that takes his crowd to that magical dance floor high! He's a meticulous vibe doctor who is only satisfied when ALL of his patients are GROOVIN' and the dance floor is writhing to his masterfully selected soundscapes! Nu or Neo-Disco is fast becoming the latest rage in the club scene and it's slowly replacing the Electro groove that's been dominating the House scene for the past few years. Felipe's been droppin' these funky beats for ages! His style is truly ahead of the curve and he has been rockin' this heat in all of his sets, as Felipe knows WHAT TRULY WORKS!
